I watched the finals of Pinoy Mano Mano with people from RX (Sir louie, Jude, Paeng, Bea ,Gelli and her BF Gary.). We were wearing the white shirt Rico gave us. It says “Believe” and then “The Truth Behind the Booth” at the back of the shirt. I was really excited because it was the first boxing match that I saw it live. We sat near the ring. Gelli, Bea and I are a bit tense and it really felt as if we were the ones who are going to fight. Gelli’s hands were even ice cold. After waiting for the two under card games, it was time for the match of that everyone has been waiting for Jordan “Jaguar” Herrera v.s. Rico “The Truth Behind the Booth” Robles (Formerly Rico “Rapido” Robles) The minute Rico came out we really cheered our lungs out. When he came out, he was really scary. He was wearing red, I saw his eagerness to win. I even thought that the Rico Robles that I saw walking towards the ring was different from the Rico Robles that I saw on Big Brother. I already knew that he was a champion. He even has a heart of champion. He looked the part and he is the epitome of a winning fighter. Even if Jordan won the title Rico still won my respect and the respect of everyone who watched the game. I’ve seen how hard he worked for it and how much he wanted to win. He gave a good fight and he has nothing to be ashamed of. I’m proud of having the privilege to work with such an inspiring guy. Rico gave a new face to being a super hero. I honestly used to believe that a super hero is not tangible, he is a mere fragment of our imagination, and his powers are as impossible as his existence. But now, I beg to disagree. I think there are super heroes walking among us today. They are the ones who inspire people, help out as much as they can, and improve themselves each and everyday. These are the true heroes! I’m proud to say that Rico is one of them! He inspires me not just to be just another DJ but to be the best that I can be. I admire his determination and commitment. Hats off to the real champion who played by the rules! I believe that God has plans. Who knows whats going to happen? There is always season 2. So they better watch out because he has a heart of a champion and he never gives up!

I think being politically correct is a very good idea. However, you know what they say about getting too much of something. Yes, it is going to be really bad if it gets way too much! I recently received an e-mail that makes fun of being overly politically correct and I can't help but share this with you guys. A little background about the whole idea would be great for you to get the joke out of this material. U.S. is a melting pot of cultures and races and they try really hard to be neutral during the Christmas season. There has even been a lot of law suits regarding displaying of nativity scenes, saying Merry Christmas and what not because it offends other religions. So, here is a card that one should send out to avoid law suits but still get your Christmas message across.
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all;”
PLUS
“a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only “AMERICA” in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual orientation of the wisher.” (Disclaimer: By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher who assumes no responsibility for any unintended emotional stress these greetings may bring to those not caught up in the holiday spirit.)

I have a soft heart for animals! It really pierces my heart whenever I see an abandoned puppy or kitten. Can you imagine a week old kitten crying on the side of the road or a litter of puppies left inside a box? I think it really is such a sad situation. My love for pets is really ironic. When I was a kid I was bitten by a family friend’s gigantic dog. From then on, I started to have fears and I would literally hide from dogs. One day, it just got into me that these are just animals. The reason why it bit me was perhaps it was threatened by my presence. I decided to change my fear of seeing dogs. We adopted our very first pet, “Leklek”. Well actually, we just borrowed him for a few days from my aunt. It started of really awkward because of my fear of dogs. Everyday I tried to get close to him to eventually eliminate that fear. Everything happened so fast. What surprised me is how he responded to the care we were giving him. He was playful, gentle, and obedient. Eventually, this Japanese Spitz got attached to my heart. He eventually became spoiled and became too fat. When my aunt saw him she said that the dog is becoming really comfy and looks very happy. I beg that she should just give him to us. With a lot of trying she gave in. From then, I got another dog named Kathy and then another one, which is a Pomeranian named Spike and then a Labrador named Molly and the list goes on. But now, we are just breeding big dogs like labradors because poms are hard to maintain. I’ve realized that I miss having toy breed or small dogs. I’m saving up to buy a small one. Any suggestions on what breed to get? Tell me all about it on the “Taggy” link on my page. Thanks!

Labrador puppies
Anyway, I searched the net a while ago about the benefits of having a pet. I found a lot of interesting things that I wish to share to you. So here are the top 7 benefits of having a pet.
Pets can improve your mood.
How can you have a bad mood when a small little puppy is blinking it’s soft eyes and looking at you like it’s begging for some hugs?
7.) Pets control blood pressure.
Meds are pretty much expensive right now. I’ve always believed that prevention is better than cure. Groups of hypertensive New York stockbrokers who got dogs or cats were found to have lower blood pressure and heart rates than those who didn’t get pets. When they heard of the results, most of those in the non-pet group went out and got pets!
6.)Pets encourage you to get out and exercise
This is so true for Labradors because they love walks and they need a lot of exercise. The good news is you even burn more calories than other breeds because of their gigantic size you often tug and pull harder.
5.)Pets can help with social support
They are good companions for the physically challenged. They are also good for children with autism or patients in bed. Furthermore, having a pet with you while you walk makes you more approachable to people because they are great conversation starters.
4.)Pets provide unconditional love.
They don’t know your financial status, reputation, past experiences and the list goes on. They just love YOU! Sometimes they are even better than people because they’ll never leave you and they’ll always stay loyal.
3.)They train you to become good parents.
Having pets would really train you to become a parent because you take care of them as they grow. I remember waking every 2 hours in the middle of the night to help my Labradors breast feed from their mom. I wash them regularly. I also bring them to the vet. I buy them vitamins, things, food and all that. We are also sending them to obedience school soon. You want to be a good parent? Try puppies first!
2.) If you are bad person then it is good for your image
According to studies by Alan Beck Center for the Human-Animal Bond at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, studies show that people with animals are actually viewed by others as being nicer, better people. Of course, politicians have used that effect for years, and you'll always see when a politician gets in trouble they get a dog, sometimes a cat.
1.) It all boils down to making you a better person
They tend to make you ore responsible because you take care of them. They make you more calm gentle. Add all the benefits that I stated and you'll end up a better person.

7 is a very significant number for me. I was born on the 7th day of January. My birthday in digits will be 01/07/1988. If you keep on adding the digits you’d get the number 7. In line with this, I think it would be nice to do a weekly count down of top 7 random things that i can think of. It can be top 7 celebrities, friends, movies, music, or anything that comes to my mind. For today however, it would be the 7 worst jobs that you can end up in.
7.) Ghost Singer for any artist. I couldn’t sing to save my life! I have always loved music. It’s just sad to say that music doesn’t not love me. Apparently, there is such a thing as ghost singers similar to the concept of ghost writers. It’s basically when you sing for an artist and then they would use your voice as if it was the artist’s own voice. If i’d do this, it’s probably the end of their career.

6.) Publicist for Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Lindsay Lohan.
I’m taking up Organizational Communication and one of the career tracks that I can head to after college is public relations. One of the sub-careers in public relations is being a publicist. I’ve often dream of myself being a publicist for a famous celebrity. I’ve always wanted to build good images for people. I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of public relations. But for every rule there is an exception. I mean, Being incarcerated, driving under the influence, showing your private part by not wearing underwear, and the list goes on is just too much. Just a crisis is enough for a publicist. Imagine if it is a recurring thing. Your job is supposed to be creating a good public image for them. This would really give you a headache.

5.) Production Designer for an indie film about Ancient Egypt.
Indie films are great. A lot of them are artistic and nature and it’s really awesome how they can come up with movies at such a low budget. I’ve come to realize that one of the hardest jobs in the world is to become a production designer for an ambitious indie film. Let’s say that the goal is to remake Cleopatra or the ten commandments. How can you come up with a grand set when your budget is 10$ and the closest thing you can substitute for a desert is the beach. Add that to the fact that your costumes are bathrobes and bed sheets. Now, that’s a nightmare.

4.) Embalmer.
The thought of it alone literally gives me chills. If there is one job that I couldn’t see myself doing then this is really on the list. One of my puppies died a few weeks ago and it is the first time we had a dead pet at home. It’s really a sad feeling because I ridiculously love my dogs. So the minute I found out that Woofy was not breathing, I really wanted to hug him for the last time and place him in a box and bury it. But then, rigor mortis kicked in. The puppy was starting to become really stiff/hard. It was a really morbid feeling. My desire to hug Woofy for the last time just went down the drain. From then on, I figured that a job that evolves dead creatures is no where near my ideal job. Add that to the fact that I was really traumatized by frog dissection in High School. I threw up a couple of times seeing the guts of Kermit, the name of my frog, spewing from his helpless body. This is also the reason why I’m not a fan of a famous Filipino delicacy, the Balot. In fact, I don’t understand why a Catholic country like us who is pretty much against abortion eat it. So need I say more on why the art of embalming is not for me?

3.)Shoe shiner of Imelda Marcos.
I don’t know what’s weirder. Is it weird to become her shoe shiner because she has a lot of shoes or because she is related to me? I think it needs no further explanation I’ll just go with both.

Visit Iraq. It's more than the usual swim.
2.)Secretary of tourism for Iraq.
Iraq wants you! How can you ask tourists to come to this country when you have a death toll higher than the obesity rates in the U.S.? Furthermore, it’s hard to entice people to come and visit Iraq when the media shows you negative images of the country. Even a buy one take one tickets to Iraq will not do the trick.

1.) Donald Trump’s hair stylist!
‘Nuff Said!!!
